Point B on the number line shows Benny's score after the first round of a quiz: A number line is shown from negative 10 to 0 to positive 10. There are increments of 1 on either side of the number line. The even numbers are labeled on either side of the number line. Point B is shown on 2. In round two, he lost 6 points. Which expression shows how many total points he has at the end of round two?

Answer:

the answer is D)2 + (−6) = −4, because −4 is 6 units to the left of 2

Explanation:

imagen a number line that at the left side of the end is -10 on right there's a +10 so first we start from 0 and move to the right side 2 times this is how much Benny's score after the first round but then the second round he lost 6 points so now you are going to start from 2 and jump 6 times but this time to the left then land on -4 so there for the answer is D)2 + (−6) = −4, because −4 is 6 units to the left of 2

hope this helps you happy holidays ^.^

Answer:

-4

Explanation:

I have taken the liberty of drawing (although pretty badly) the number line and attaching it below. As you can see from the picture, the number line moves up and down by values of 2. Also like mentioned, at the end of round one Benny ends up on point 2 which is represented by the letter B in the number line. Since in round 2 Benny lost 6 points we need to move to the left towards the negative values. Also since each line represents 2 numbers we would need to move 3 lines to the left (6/2 = 3) which would mean after round 2 Benny would end up on number -4
