Equation 1: y + 6 = 2(x - 3)

Ok since you already have the first equation all you have to do is solve for y.

so you start with the same equation and solve distribute the 2...


y + 6 = 2(x - 3)\\y+6=2x-6

Then you subtract the 6 on both sides...


y=2x-12

and that's it you solved for y and the meaning of solve for y is to get y alone on one side that's it.
