Let x be the number

Given 3x and 5x --------------- (i)

(3x+10)/(5x+10) = 5/7

On cross multiplication we get :-

21x + 70 = 25x + 50

On solving we get :-

4x = 20

x = 5

on substituting x in (i) we get 15

and 25.

Two numbers are in the ratio 3 : 5. if each number is increased by 10, the ratio becomes-example-1
