Divide the 25% discount by 100 to get a decimal (25/100 = 0.25). Then multiply the cost of the sweater times the discount. $35.00 x 0.25 = $8.75. Now subtract this amount from the cost of the sweater. $35.00 - $8.75 = $26.25.
