y is the total amount you will get at the end of your answer. 10 is for the plate of cookies and 2x is for every cookie added on after

Answer: y=10+2x

Step-by-step explanation: I just finished this unit in Algebra today. :) Since y is our variable for the total cost, that goes on one side of the equal sign. A plate of cookies is $10 to start off with, and an additional cookie is $2. What if you want 5 extra cookies? Maybe even 6? Attach the variable x. Your final equation is y=10+2x. Hope this helped!
