Given :-

  • Volume of Tank is 396 m³
  • Length of Tank is 7.2 m and breadth is 5.5 m

To Find :-

  • Height of Tank

Solution :-

  • Length (L) = 7.2m

  • Breadth (b) = 5.5m

Using Formula :-

  • Volume of Cuboid = L × b × h

Putting Values :-

  • 396 = 7.2 × 5.5 × h

  • 396 × 10 /72 × 5.5 = h

  • 5.5 × 10/5.5 = h

  • 10 m = h

So, The Height/Depth of Tank is

10 m

Answer :

  • Depth of the tank is of 10m

Step-by-step explanation :

We have been provided with the volume of water tank , it's length and breadth. We are asked to calculate the depth of tank (height), so we all know that water tank is always is in the shape of cuboid.

We would be using the formula of calculating the volume of cuboid and substitute the values in it.

  • V = l × b × h

Here,

  • l is length
  • b is breadth
  • h is height

We have :

  • Volume (V) = 396m³
  • length (l) = 7.2m
  • breadth (b) = 5.5m
  • height (h) = ?

Substituting the values :

>> 396 = 7.2 × 5.5 × h

>> 396 = (72 / 10) × (55 / 10) × h

>> 396 = 72 × 55 × h / 100

>> 396 = 3960 × h / 100

>> 396 × 100 = 3960 × h

>> 39600 = 3960h

>> h = 39600 / 3960

>> h = 3960 / 396

>> h = 10
