Answer: A) 2 1/12 yards

B) 13/24 yards

Step-by-step explanation: A)

1 3/4 = 7/4 + 1/3 =

7/4(3/3) + 1/3(4/4)=

21/12 + 4/12 = 25/12 = 2 1/12 yards

B)

7/8 - 1/3 =

7/8(3/3) + 1/3(8/8)=

21/24 - 8/24 = 13/24 yards
