Answer:

solve for slope intercept form

y = mx + b

m represents the slope, which is 4

and b represents your y intercept

y = 4x + b

you have a table of values where the x & y represent in the equation all of the different x & y coordinates that make up the line.

we have an x & a y coordinate (2, 7)

since we already know what the slope is and I need to solve for b you can now plug in the x point.

y = 4(2) + b

7 = 8 + b

we need to get b on one side so we subtract 8 from both sides

7 - 8 = 8 + b - 8

-1 = b

So the equation of the line is

y = 4x - 1

The linear equation of Aline's path is:

y - 7 = 4*(x - 2)

What is the equation of the line?

The linear equation that passes through a point (h, k) and has a slope m, is written as:

y - k = m*(x - h)

Here we have the point (2, 7) and the slope is m= 4, then our linear equation can be written as:

y - 7 = 4*(x - 2)
