Explanation:

In 6th grade I learned that when you are trying to find an unknown variable, you use the opposite operation as there is in the question, and so here the operation is addition, and the opposite of that is subtraction. you add the known variable, in this case which is 17, to both sides, which is the sum and the known variable, therefore the answer is B.

I would check beforehand just in case because i dont wanna mess anyone up ^^
