I attended a festival that was in July and also in August. And there were many concerts, parades and dances. I also went to one called "Carnaval de Barranquilla" and it is one of the biggest carnivals in the world. in the "Carnaval de Barranquilla" there were folkloric dancers which was the best part. the "Barranquilla Carnival" lasted four whole days.
