First, you have to distribute 2(4x-1) and -10(x-3) which gives you 8x-2=(-10x+30)+4 then you add 2 to both sides which gives you 8x=-10x+30+6 then reducing it you get 8x=-10x+36. Then you add 10 to 8x which gives you 18x=36. Lastly, you divide 18 from both sides and get x=2.
