Nolan gave out a survey to some students in his school about their favorite color. Students could choose between red and purple. 238 of those surveyed said their favorite color was red. 66% of the students surveyed said their favorite color was purple. How many students were surveyed in total?​

Answer:

Explanation:

100%-66%=34%

34% equals the 238 that is red

238÷34%=7 people per percentage

7×66%= 462 students that chose purple

462+238=700 which should be the total amount of people surveyed.
