In Canada how would you describe the temperatures at the higher latitudes as opposed to the lower latitudes?

Answer: In the higher latitudes of Canada, the barren land is cold and sparsely inhabited, or simply uninhabitable. In the south, whilst it is still very cold, the area is much milder and is where the bulk of the population lives
