700 divided by 12 BUT WITH A REMAINDER I DONT GET IT

Since 700 can’t be equally divided by 12, there will be a remainder of 4 because the max you can multiply 12 by is 58 without going over 700. In simple words, there is a remainder because 12 cannot be multiplied by something to equal exactly 700. All that would be left of 700 would be 4. I’m not really good at explaining things so I left a picture of it helps!
