The ratio on this is 2:1 or 2:10

so in the original recipe, there is twice as much sugar as butter. 1.25 -or 1 1/4- /2=0.625 -or 5/8. so if he added a whole cup of butter, then he would need to add two cups of sugar to have the same ratio. that means the ratio is 2:1
