What is the probability that the archer will miss the target on both attempts?

This question is misleading because it says he only takes two attempts but there’s somehow a 1/3 probability he will hit the target on at least one attempt. However, if there’s a 1/3 chance he’ll make it, that would mean there is a 2/3 chance he would miss.
