Answer:

Explanation:

The area (A) of the triangle is calculated as

A =
(1)/(2) bh ( b is the base and h the height )

Here b = 8 and h = 15 , then

A =
(1)/(2) × 8 × 15 = 4 × 15 = 60 cm²

The area of the rectangle is also 60 cm² , then

length × breadth = 60 , that is

12x = 60 ( divide both sides by 12 )

x = 5
