To find the x intercept we must put zero instead of the y in the function.

Let's do it....

4x + 11(0) = 36

4x + 0 = 36

4x = 36

Divided sides by 4

(4)/(4)x = (36)/(4) \\

x = 9

Thus the x intercept is 9 .

And we're done....
