In a rectangle the ratio of the length to the width is 5/6. If the width is 30, find the length.

let length of the rectangle be x

so, from the question


(5)/(6) = (x)/(30) \\

by cross multiplication,


150 = 6x \\ x = (150)/(6) \\ x = 25

x = 25.
