Two angles are complementary. One angle is twice the size of the other. The bigger angle measures

Sum of two angles that are complementary = 90°

Let the smaller angle be x .

Then the larger angle = 2x

Let us make an equation to find the measure of both the angles :-


2x + x = 90


3x = 90


x = (90)/(3)


x = 30

Which means :-

Measure of the small angle = 30°

Measure of the larger angle = 2 × 30 = 60°

Therefore , the measure of the bigger angle is 60° .
