Spinal cord injury leads to loss of nervous tissue also loss of motor and sensory function, currently there is no such treatment available that can completely repair the spinal cord, but the transplant of stem cells may help in the spinal cord repair.

The stem cells could never replace the nerve cells that died as a result of the injury, stem cells can help the nerve cells to repair.
