Explanation:

x^2-2x+1-9y^2

Using a^2 - 2ab + b^2 = (a-b)^2 (factor the expression) = (x-1)^2 - 9y^2

(x-1)^2 - 9y^2 = (x-1-3y) x (x-1+3y) should be the answer :)
