The value of Sarah's car is decreasing by a consistent amount each year. The value of her car can be modeled by y=18000 - 1500x.

What is the y-intercept and its meaning?

What is the slope and its meaning?

How long will it take for the value to be $7500?

What will the car worth in 11 years?

Answer:

1.) The y-intercept is 18000 which is the original price of her car

2.) The slope is -1500 which is how much her car's value decreases by one year

3.) 7 years

4.) $1500

Explanation:

For questions 1 &2 the equation is written in slope-intercept form which is y=mx+b

m=slope

b= y-intercept

For questions 3 &4 I wrote the equation in my calculator and look at the table to find the answers
