The height of a building is proportional to the number of floors. If the building is 135 ft with 9 floors, how many floors does this build have? How tall would the building be if it had 15 floors?

Final answer:

Each floor contributes 15 feet to the building's height. With this information, it's determined that a 15-floor building would measure 225 feet in height.

Step-by-step explanation:

The height of a building is proportional to the number of floors, meaning that each floor adds a constant height to the building. Given that the building has a height of 135 feet with 9 floors, we can calculate the height per floor by dividing the total height by the number of floors. This gives us:

135 ft / 9 floors = 15 ft per floor

Now that we know each floor is 15 feet tall, we can determine the height of a building that has 15 floors by multiplying the height per floor by the number of floors:

15 floors × 15 ft per floor = 225 ft

Therefore, a building with 15 floors would be 225 feet tall.

Hi, I’m unsure if my answer is correct but try this...
135/9= 15
This would mean that every floor is worth 15 ft
So, multiply 15 by 15 and you get 225
By this judgement, the building would be 225 ft if it had 15 floors.
I hope this helps!
