4^(x^2-3x)=256
First
256=4^4
4^(x^2-3x)= 4^4 a^x=a^y x=y
X^2-3x=4
X^2-3x-4=0 by using quadratic formula
x = (-b ± √(b2 − 4ac))/(2a)
=-(-3) ±√((-3)2 − 4(1 )(-4)/(2(1))
= (3 ±√(9 + 16))/2
= (3 ±√(25))/2
= (3 ±5)/2
X= 4 or -1
