Answer:

You walk 12 days

Explanation:

Let's call:

W=Number of days you walk

J=Number of days you jog

Since you only do one of the exercises per day:

W + J = 19

Solving for J:

J = 19 - W

Every day you walk, you travel 5 miles, and every day you jog, you travel 2 miles, thus:

5W + 2J = 74

Replacing the expression for J:

5W + 2(19 - W) = 74

Operating:

5W + 38 - 2W = 74

Simplifying:

3W = 74 - 38 = 36

Solving:

W = 36 / 3 = 12

You walk 12 days
