“What is Patriotism to Me?”

Patriotism to me is supporting my nation or a leader, something I care about. (Love ones country and loyal to the nation) Patriotism is also considered "loyalty" to the nation or its leaders. When we devote our love for our nation it normally is for something particular, like the military , Veterans Day is one of the top affecting holiday in the USA. For example this holiday does affect the people who had or have a family member in the military, even if you did not have a relative in the military it can still mean something to you deeply. My Grandpa was in the military and to this day me and my family support and respect the people who have served. The theme that we talked about is important and everyone should know what they are supporting and why. Patriotism is a big deal for some people but remember to always support what you believe in. Remember to make sure that you know what you are supporting and why, if you don't know why you should probably ask your parents. I would also include why do I care so much about this holiday or leader. Everything in life has some role to play, Patriotism has a role to play in the country and in our nation. I think everyone should respect our leader even if we don't support them in any way. Be kind to everyone even if it is a challenge.
