Answer:

The answers are in solutions.

Explanation:

  • Four businessmen invested a sum of Rs. 250,000 in the ratio of 3:5:7:10 to start a new business.

(i) The amount invested by each businessman is;

1^st businessman invested:

(3)/(25) * 250,000 = Rs. 30,000

2^nd businessman invested:

(5)/(25) * 250,000 = Rs. 50,000

3^rd businessman invested:

(7)/(25) *250,000 = Rs. 70,000

4^th businessman invested:

(10)/(25) *250,000 = Rs. 100,000

  • If they gained Rs. 50,000

(ii) The profit each one of them got is;

1^st businessman got:

(3)/(25) * 50,000 = Rs. 6,000

2^nd businessman got:

(5)/(25) *50,000 = Rs. 10,000
