Answer:

(2, - 2 )

Explanation:

y = - 3 +
(1)/(2) x → (1)

3x + 2y = 2 → (2)

Substitute y = - 3 +
(1)/(2) x into (2)

3x + 2(- 3 +
(1)/(2) x) = 2 ← distribute parenthesis and simplify left side

3x - 6 + x = 2

4x - 6 = 2 ( add 6 to both sides )

4x = 8 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 2

Substitute x = 2 into (1)

y = - 3 +
(1)/(2) (2) = - 3 + 1 = - 2

solution is (2, - 2 )
