1.25c + 12 = 2 ( change 5/4 to a decimal for easy understading)

1.25c + 12 - 12 = 2 - 12 ( isolate the variable rememebr whatever you do to the right do it to the left )

1.25c = -10

1.25c / 1.25 = -10 / 1.25 (divide both sides by 1.25 )

c = -8
