Rearrange this so the equation equals to zero.

Substitute the corresponding values into this part of the quadratic formula: square root(b^2 - 4ac)

If the answer is equal to 0 then there is one real solution.

If it is >0 then there are 2 real solutions

If it is <0 there are 2 imaginary solutions
