Chris wants to fence a square area of his yard for his dogs. if he wants the area of the square to be 121 square feet, what does the perimeter of the square need to be?

The area (A) of a square is calculated as

A = s² ( s is the side length )

Here A = 121, thus

s² = 121 ( take the square root of both sides )

Perimeter = 4 × 11 = 44 ft
