ABC is a Right angled triangle.

Taking angle "A" as reference angle, we get;

Perpendicular (p) = BC

hypotenuse (h) = 13cm

Base(b) = 8cm

We know;


{h}^(2) = {p}^(2) + {b}^(2)


or; \: p(BC) = \sqrt{ {h}^(2) - {b}^(2) }


BC = \sqrt{ {13}^(2) - {8}^(2) }


BC = √(169 - 64)


BC = √(105)


BC = 10.246

Therefore, BC = 10.246cm.
