Which sentence from the story “The Sun Parlor” by Dorothy West supports the idea that the author regrets the way she treated her sister?

1. “A dozen times I had bitten it off my tongue because I did not know what she might answer.”
2. “I let out a little cry of pain.”
3.“I did not know if she yet knew that nothing can be the same once it has been different.”
4. “I did not recognize the magnitude of that moment.”

for me i think its the first one because Dorothy was insensitive to the feelings of his sister and that sentence made him realize it
