Chris needs a clever pattern for Math class tomorrow. He comes up with this pattern: 8, 4, 12, 6, 16, 8, 20, 10, ___, __.

What is his rule for this pattern

A. each set of 4 numbers adds to 36.
B. each set of four numbers adds up to 30.
C. each set of 2 numbers makes up a prime number.
D. the first number in each set of 2 numbers is 4 more than the last first number, and the second number is ½ of the first.
