If u are looking for factorization this is the way

(x-y)(x-y+1)² -2(x-y)(x-y+1)+(x-y)=

(x-y)[(x-y+1)^2-2(x-y+1)+1]=

(x-y)[(x-y+1)^2-2(x-y+1)+1^2]=

(x-y)[(x-y+1)-1]^2=(x-y)(x-y+1-1)^2

(x-y)(x-y)^2=

(x-y)^3
