Fascism- a dictator ruling a system of government usually by force.

Totalitarianism- a system of government that requires complete subservience to the state.

So totalitarianism attempts to rule by establishing total control of the citizens' lives. Whereas fascism attempts to rule forcefully and controlling all industries and promoting nationalism and even racism.
