Answer:

4.375

Explanation:

11 tons

He needs 6 5/8

Convert 11 tons to a fraction with the same denominator:

(11)/(1) *(8)/(8) =(88)/(8)

Now calculate 6 5/8:

(6)/(1) *(8)/(8) =(48)/(8) and add
(5)/(8)

(48)/(8) +(5)/(8) =(53)/(8)

Now subtract

(88)/(8) -(53)/(8) =(35)/(8)

As a mixed number:

(35)/(8) = 4 (3)/(8)

As a fraction:

4.375 is how much he has left for his other crops.
