What is the Y-intercept and The slope of the equation?

2x+7y=14

Can someone please help me with this!!!

Slope = -2/7; Y intercept = +2

First, for this particular question - we want to convert the equation to slope intercept form! You may recognize it already, it looks like this:

y = mx + b

Here's how:


2x+7y=14\\2x+7y - 2x = -2x+14\\7y=-2x+14\\(7y)/(7) =(-2x+14)/(7) \\y = (-2)/(7)x+2

The above shows this equation in slope intercept form: y = -2/7x + 2.

The slope of this line is -2/7 while the y intercept is 2!
