An atom has 40 protons, 51 neutrons, and 40 electrons. What is the charge of the atom?​

The atom is neutral as the number of electrons and neutrons is the same.

Mathematically,

Charge

= +40 + (-40)

= +40 - 40

=0

Note: Neurons have no charge
