(f + g)(- 2) = 1

Explanation:

(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x) , thus

f(x) + g(x)

= x - 3 + x² - x

= x² - 3

Thus

(f + g)(- 2) = (- 2)² - 3 = 4 - 3 = 1
