What limits do Americans truly have in regard to their freedoms?

There are quite a few limits to each freedom regarding Americans. An example is the freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to share their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction. While this is what the freedom of speech defines as, most of this is false. Hundreds of people have attempted to use their freedom of speech, most of the time for a good cause, but police and government are always ordered to shut these things down. Usually if what is being said is against their better judgment.
