I'm doing this activity right now on PLATO but I haven't turned it in yet. However, I know that this is the expanded form:

( x + y ) ^10 = 1 × x ^10 × y ^0 + 10 × x ^9 × y ^1 + 45 × x ^8 × y ^2 + 120 × x ^7 × y ^3 + 210 × x ^6 × y ^4 + 252 × x ^5 × y ^5 + 210 × x ^4 × y ^6 + 120 × x ^3 × y ^7 + 45 × x ^2 × y ^8 + 10 × x × y ^9 + 1 × x × y ^10

All you have to do is count each term.

For example, I know that the third term is 45x^8y^2 because I counted the first two and saw it was the third.
