Fraction of oil Ryan used to make 6 servings of Frech fries = 2 ¾ cups of oil

Fraction of oil Ryan would have used to make one serving =

= 6 ÷ 2 ¾

= 2 ¾ as an improper fraction = 11/4

= 11/4 ÷ 6

= 11/4 × 1/6 ( division of fractions is same as multiplication with their reciprocal )

= 11/24

Therefore , Ryan used 11/24 cup of oil for one serving of French fries .
