y = (-1/4)x + 1 so that the y-intercept is 1

Explanation:

The slope is (-1 - 2)/[8 - (-4)] = -3/12 = -(1/4)

(-1/4) = (y - 2)/(x + 4) => -x - 4 = 4y - 8

-x + 4 = 4y

y = (-1/4)x + 1 so that the y-intercept is 1
