ok so 18x3=8x+128+10x (multiply the 8 with the stuff in the parenthesis) now you combine like terms so 54 = 128+18x now you have to get the numbers together so you subtract 128 ~> -74 = 18x then you divide -74/18 which is about -4.1 so x= -4.1
