If a point lies on a segment, then this point divides the segment into 2 parts

Example:

If a point R lies on the segment AB, then point R divides AB into two segments AR and RB, the length of AB equal the sum of lengths of AR and RB

Let us solve the question

∵ The point T lies on the segment AK

→ That means T divides AK into two parts AT and TK

∴ T divides AK into two segments AT and TK

→ That means the length of AK equal the sum of lengths of AT and TK

AK = AT + TK

∵ AT = 47 meters

∵ TK = 58 meters

∴ AK = 47 + 58

∴ AK = 105 meters

AK is 105 meters long
