Answer:

110.5 yd²

Explanation:

Separate the figure into 1 triangle and 3 rectangles.

(see attached image)

Area 1

Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × (7 + 2 + 2) × 7

= 1/2 × 11 × 7

= 38.5 yd²

Area 2

Area of a rectangle = width × length

= 3 × (5 + 2 + 2)

= 3 × 9

= 27 yd²

Area 3

Area of a rectangle = width × length

= 5 × (5 + 2)

= 5 × 7

= 35 yd²

Area 4

Area of a rectangle = width × length

= 2 × 5

= 10 yd²

Total Area

Area 1 + Area 2 + Area 3 + Area 2 = 38.5 + 27 + 35 + 10

= 110.5 yd²

Answer:

110.5 yd²

Formula's:

Area of triangle:

1/2 × base × height

Area of rectangle:

length × width

Area of the figure:

= area of triangle + area of rectangle's

= 1/2 × 11 × 7 + 3 × 4 + 5 × 3 + 5 × 2 + 7 × 5

= 110.5 yd²
