Detailed Answer:

1) The word monsoon comes from the word “mausim” from the Arabic Language, which means weather.

2) Monsoons have lot of pros and cons:

Pros:-
• They provide irrigation for crops.
• Many farmers solely depend on monsoons or rain for their crops to grow.

Cons:-
• Heavy monsoons cause huge floods.

Of course, these are just a few of the pros and cons of monsoons.

Monsoon is a derived word of Arabic language

It simply breaks down into "wasama" and "mawsim"

  • Wasama means to mark and mawsim is rainy season

  • Monsoon mostly brings happiness as crops start to grow up .Many farmers from different regions depends upon monsoon for cropping

Pros

  • Monsoon helps in cropping
  • It increases melancholyness among the animals and humans

Cons:-

If Monsoon stays long at one place it brings heavy flood to withdraw some lives
