Slope of line 3 = -1/3

Line 1 and 2 are parallel

Line 1 and 3 are perpendicular

Line 2 and 3 are perpendicular

Find the slope of each line by using this equation:


y_(2) - y_(1) / x_(2) - x_(1)

lines are parallel if they have the same slope and line are perpendicular in they have opposite reciprocal slopes. (-1/3 is the opposite reciprocal of 3).
